Abortions are very safe when performed or assisted by specialists. The World Health Organization says that the risk of death from a safe abortion is lower than death caused by continuing with pregnancy. However, any medical treatment or surgical procedure carries some side effects.

In this blog, you will find information about:

  • The abortion pill process
  • A video explaining medical abortion care, and what side effects to expect
  • MSI UK’s counselling service
  • How to get in touch with us

Abortion pill process

In this short video, Dr Yvonne Neubauer explains what to expect when you take medical abortion pills: what’s in the pack that you will receive, how to take the pills and what to expect in terms of side effects.
