Abortion counselling at MSI UK
At MSI Reproductive Choices, we provide free (NHS-funded), confidential counselling services as part of abortion care. Our counselling team is available any time you need to talk before, during and after your treatment, even if your abortion was some years ago.
Counselling is available over the phone, whether you are looking to access medical or surgical abortion care.
What is abortion counselling?
Everyone is different, and it is normal to feel a range of different emotions after an abortion. You might feel relieved or sad, or maybe a mixture of feelings.
Counselling is the process of talking through your worries with a qualified professional. It is a form of talking therapy that lets you discuss your feelings in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
The counselling team at MSI UK is experienced and qualified to help you explore and manage your thoughts, feelings, and options as you make decisions about your care. Counsellors are approved by the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy.
It’s important to know that our counsellors don’t offer you advice, but instead help you deal with issues and realise your coping strategies.
To know more about your counselling options or to arrange a counselling appointment, please call us on 0345 300 8090. Please note that you if you would be more comfortable talking to a counsellor of a specific gender, please let us know this when arranging an appointment.
