MSI Reproductive Choices has opened a new abortion clinic in Central Manchester, increasing choice for anyone looking to access medical abortion care in the area.
From the new clinic in the Fabric Building on Queen Street, people can access NHS-funded medical abortion care up to 9 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy, along with counselling and post-abortion contraception should clients wish to start a contraceptive method following their treatment. The clinic is open from 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.
The new city centre clinic adds to MSI UK’s network of clinics across the Greater Manchester and Lancashire area, from which clients can access a range of reproductive healthcare services including medical abortion care and surgical abortion care. This network includes the MSI Reproductive Choices Manchester (Fallowfield) Regional Treatment Centre – the first abortion clinic in England to be rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
While these clinics continue to offer in-person abortion appointments, MSI’s award-winning telemedicine service also enables eligible clients to consult with a nurse over the phone at a time that is convenient for them, and take medical abortion pills in their own homes, without attending a clinic.
Chris Bain, Regional General Manager for MSI Reproductive Choices in Manchester, said:
“I’m so pleased to announce the opening of our new clinic in Central Manchester. The central, accessible location will improve access to our essential healthcare services, and support people to take control of their reproductive health.
Choice is at the heart of everything we do at MSI UK, and we are proud to be expanding our network of clinics so that people can access high-quality abortion care across Manchester.”
