Nursing Roles

Find out about our available positions

Have you ever considered specialising in abortion or vasectomy care?

At MSI Reproductive Choices, our dedicated nurses and midwives are the heart of our charity. They work tirelessly to deliver high-quality, high-impact services that meet our client’s needs.

Working in the independent sector for a specalised service can be a fantastic alternative to working for the NHS. By joining us, you’ll become part of a committed team of people that work to make sure we provide the best possible care and support throughout the UK.

Our nursing roles

We offer a variety of nursing roles which can suit your lifestyle and career aspirations and give you professional satisfaction.

Centre nursing

Registered nurses work in our main centres providing excellence in abortion care. Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, our nurses are responsible for consultations, admissions and discharge of clients. It is a demanding yet rewarding role and MSI Reproductive Choices can offer training and support, as well as development opportunities.

District nursing

District nurses work independently and travel to our network of clinics across the United Kingdom. They provide early medical abortion services as close as possible to where women live so they do not need to travel as far. It is an autonomous and rewarding specialism.

One Call nursing

One Call is our national call centre based in Bristol which provides support to clients 24 hours a day. From the moment a client dials our number, they are in safe caring hands. Our nurse advisors are responsible for phone consultations and advice on pre and post treatment care.

Vasectomy nursing

Registered nurses work in our main centres and specialist vasectomy clinics across the United Kingdom. They are responsible for consultations, admissions and discharge of clients, as well as supporting the vasectomy surgeon during procedures. MSI Reproductive Choices can offer training and support, as well as development opportunities in this specialist area.

Our nursing management roles

We nurture talented and passionate people who have the courage to push boundaries, make tough decisions and challenge others in line with our missions.

If you’re looking for the next step in your nursing career, MSI Reproductive Choices can offer that opportunity.

Clinical team leader

Clinical team leaders assist the clinical operations managers with the day to day running of our centres. In this busy and face-paced environment, they provide quality clinical care and guidance to clients through offering services ranging from abortion, ultrasound scanning to consultations and contraception.

Clinical operations manager

Clinical operations managers are responsible for the smooth running of our centres on a day to day basis. They are the main point of call for all clinical matters providing leadership on client care and clinical excellence. They coordinate the clinical team, ensure all staff are appropriately trained, and lead on changes in clinical practice and policy.

We offer a comprehensive training programme to support continued professional development and make sure that our nurses are able to meet their revalidation requirements.

We are able to offer you the following:

  • A full clinical induction to include an in-depth competency framework
  • A 4-day ultrasound scanning course accredited by the Consortium for the Accreditation of Sonographic Education (CASE)
  • Contraceptive Implant training accredited by the Faculty of Reproduction and Sexual Healthcare (FRSH)
  • Access to local CASH courses to support the delivery of contraceptive services within your role
  • Access to specialist training modules such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and HIV screening provided by nationally recognised agencies

If you are interested in furthering your nursing career within a management role at MSI Reproductive Choices, we also run a Management Development Programme accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM). The course supports new managers with a streamlined focus on managing people effectively and developing a motivated and engaged team.

Work for MSI Reproductive Choices

All of our roles have one underlying goal: to empower women and men to have children by choice, not chance.
