A client shares her experience of accessing surgical abortion services with MSI.

Thankfully, I have very supportive parents and after asking me what I wanted to do, they helped me get the support I needed.
I had a very positive experience. Every single professional I met at MSI did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable and supported.
It was the small things they did (although not at all small, but it felt like it at the time), such as having generic everyday conversations with me to make me feel settled. This made the experience ten times better than I was expecting. Thinking back, it makes me quite emotional because of the genuine kindness and care everyone at MSI demonstrated.

I had a surgical abortion. After the procedure, they tended to me at every stage up until my parents arrived to pick me up.
I cannot express enough gratitude towards the clinic. As far as I’m concerned, they saved my life and I wish I could tell each and every one of them how wonderful they are.
I will keep sharing my positive abortion story because I want people to feel confident accessing the healthcare they need if it happens to them. Regardless of what poisonous anti-choicers claim, there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
