“I was given time to ask any questions to put my mind at ease.”

This client shares their experience having a surgical abortion at our Essex clinic, their gratitude for the support they received from the medical team at MSI UK, and how the care allowed them to trust in medical settings again.

I went in on the day for my surgical procedure, and the staff were nothing but supportive.

I spoke to a nurse and they took my vitals. I was unable to take the pill 48 hours before*, so an alternative was arranged on the day.

I waited before I was taken to the designated waiting/recovery room. I was asked to change into a gown and replaced my shoes with slippers.

“A lovely lady even offered to hold my hand.”

When going into the surgical room, I was introduced to every member of the surgical team, and everything was explained to me. I was given time to ask any questions to put my mind at ease. The staff were extremely supportive, and a lovely lady even offered to hold my hand as I was quite nervous. I cannot thank this team enough for how comfortable I felt as I was being given the anaesthesia

“I have since received incredible advice from the aftercare team.”

I woke up in a room with very compassionate nurses, who offered me a drink and something to eat. They ensured my vitals were okay, and I was able to go home relatively quickly (I believe I arrived at 8:30 and left before 12).

“It has absolutely changed how I feel regarding anxiety in healthcare settings.”

I have also since received amazing advice from the aftercare line – they absolutely helped with my recovery process and put my mind at ease throughout.

I cannot recommend the service enough. It has absolutely changed how I feel regarding anxiety in healthcare settings and has allowed me to trust medical teams again.

*The surgical abortion process will depend on how many weeks you have been pregnant and your medical history. Find out more.
