“I can hand on heart say I’m so glad I chose MSI for this procedure.”

In this story, a client shares their experience accessing a surgical abortion at MSI’s Birmingham clinic, after they decided not to continue with their pregnancy.

I found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago.

I have a long-term partner of 15 years, with 2 children already. Unfortunately, we made the difficult decision to access abortion care due to struggling financially. Having our baby would have put us into further poverty and we couldn’t do that to our family or the little baby. It broke our hearts.

“We attended MSI after hearing about my friend’s positive experience.”

We attended MSI after hearing about my friend’s positive experience. I was in for my first appointment the next day and booked in for the surgical abortion within the same week.

The staff were absolutely lovely! Namely, a nurse who supported me before my procedure. When taken through to recovery, I was a little upset. I settled quickly, but the anaesthesiologist came through to make sure I was ok.

“They were kind, caring, no judgement at all.”

Whilst I wish I wasn’t in this position, I can hand on heart say I’m so glad I chose MSI for this procedure! They were kind, caring, no judgment at all. Thank you MSI!  .
