MSI UK has been shortlisted for two awards at the Nursing Times Workforce Awards 2023, highlighting the incredible work of our colleagues providing essential reproductive healthcare across the UK.
This year, MSI Reproductive Choices UK has been nominated for:
- Best Social Responsibility Programme – for providing reusable sanitary pads in abortion care.
- Best Employer for Staff Recognition and Engagement – following our ‘Colleague Celebration of Success’ in 2022, where our colleagues across the UK were individually recognised, including Clinician of the Year presented by our Director of Nursing. This contributed to a 43% participation increase and great net promoter score of 38% in our annual colleague survey in March 2023.
Period poverty is a term used to describe a lack of access to menstrual products and the education needed to use them effectively. In abortion care, sanitary pads are recommended for our clients’ recovery and aftercare, but some people can not easily access sanitary products. We want to support our clients facing period poverty, and have started providing reusable sanitary products in our West London clinic, with the aim of continuing this work in our clinics across the UK.
Our colleagues work very hard to provide and improve access to essential reproductive healthcare, so it is important that we take the opportunity to celebrate them and the work that they are doing across the UK. In November of last year, we held our yearly celebration of success, which brought together more than 300 of our employees, and highlighted our amazing achievements from 2022. As a result, we achieved an 81% response rate to our annual colleague survey, compared to 38% in 2022. We also achieved a great net promotor score of 38% in our latest annual colleague survey, and a 31% net promoter score in colleagues saying they could see themselves working for MSI in 12 months time. We’re so proud to be recognised for our incredible improvement in colleague engagement over the past year.
