“I didn’t feel judged or pressured…. I didn’t feel forced to explain my situation in too much depth.”

A story from one of our clients having an at-home abortion (telemedicine) as a transgender man. They share their personal journey and the experience accessing an abortion with MSI UK.

I’m a transgender man from the UK. I’ve experienced three miscarriages whilst my partner and I were trying to conceive. Since my last miscarriage, his work situation is due to change, leaving me home alone frequently for at least twelve months.

We decided that this wouldn’t be a good time to be pregnant, nor bring up a baby, so we made the hard decision to terminate this pregnancy.

“The people I spoke to over the phone were kind and informative.”

Emotionally it’s been hard. The thing we had desperately wanted over the past 7 months, we’re now just not in a place to have. It feels cruel.

But the people I spoke to over the phone were kind and informative. They didn’t question my gender identity, despite definitely sounding like a man over the phone.

I didn’t feel judged or pressured. It was a simple process, and I didn’t feel forced to explain my situation in too much depth. Just that it was an accident whilst waiting to restart hormone treatment and it’s a bad time. The medicine arrived promptly, and instructions are clear. I can’t fault MSI.

At MSI UK, we’re proud to deliver inclusive care and are committed to making sure every client feels welcome and supported. We are here for you.

You can contact us on 0345 300 8090 to discuss your options.
