The current pandemic crisis has had an impact on access to abortion services over recent weeks. The introduction of ‘At Home Abortion Pills’ during April 2020 for women who are up to 10 weeks pregnant, is now available through Marie Stopes UK for women who are eligible following an initial consultation.
This means you don’t have to wait for treatment. We have phone consultation appointments available in 48 hours.
We were the first abortion provider in the UK to launch a telemedicine service following a change to the regulations in response to the Covid-19 emergency.
In addition to rapid access for At Home Abortion, we are also able to offer a rapid access for any woman who has to come into a clinic for a medical or a surgical abortion.
In all cases, at the time of writing, we are able to offer completion of consultation and treatment in 10 days or under. This is in line with national guidance published by NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) and guidelines issued by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Department of Health & Social care.
